An independent percussion effect and in connection with the Heck Stick, the Side Kick gives off an assertive click effect that is reminiscent of the sound of castanets or claves. Typically, the Side Kick is attached to one side of theCajon and is played with the heel. One playing variation is to position the Side Kick in front of the player in order to play it similar to a BDPedal. To do so, we recommend combining it with a drum mat.
